When pressing the clutch pedal, somewhere 75% in, the pedal makes a click, as if the hinge was snapping into place. Makes noticeable sound and I can feel it in the pedal. Doesn't happen if done very slowly. Does happen if done normal shifting speed. eTune by Chet Rickerman, the best mod really.

Clutch fails to disengage when pressed. In normal, modern stop-and-go driving, you probably press the clutch pedal in every few seconds. And on that one time when you press it and the car still creeps forward, you know you have a problem. Sometimes a part fails and the clutch goes from working normally, to not working in an instant.

CLUTCH PEDAL ADJUSTMENT NUT

I was just coming in here to post a question on this very issue - I just replaced the master clutch cylinder on my 1990, and this morning on the way to work (first time it's been driven any distance in a couple months.), the clutch pedal was clicking when I either press in the clutch or release it - the click occurs when the pedal returns to the highest position.

Clutch pedal clicking when pressed is a common issue experienced by car owners. It is caused by a loose or worn-out component in the clutch system, such as a worn-out release bearing, faulty clutch slave cylinder, or a loose clutch fork. Texas. TDI. 2010 (Ret) Jun 10, 2013. #1. Hello, I noticed that when my clutch pedal is pressed completely it clicks (when its about 90% pressed). A similar click is heard when I release the clutch again when its about 90% released. I have not had any issues shifting gears etc.. and the sound may have been present earlier.

I started having a strange clicking sound when pushing down the clutch pedal. I have 43,000 miles on it and I have driven the clutch well(I really don't believe I already worn it up). It goes away and then it comes back. There is no problem on shifting from gear to gear, it works just fine. It is only when I push the pedal that it starts clicking like it pushing against something. It seems to be happening most of the time now. I found that I also hear the click/pop sound just before taking my foot off the clutch pedal as well. I can also make the click/pop by pressing the clutch pedal slightly with my hand and releasing it; there's no need to even press it further to disengage the clutch.

Manual Transmission Noise, Goes Away When Clutch Pressed; Why?

Maybe this is just a coincidence but I just changed my manual transmission fluid and now the clutch makes a clicking noise each time I press the pedal to change gears. This noise wasn't there before the transmisson fluid was changed. It's just a slight click in the pedal.
